Genetic Vulnerabilities will be an autobiography about the patterns we inherit, the ones we don’t choose, and the ones we spend our lives trying to understand. It explores the fragile threads that run through generations — emotional, physical, and unseen — and how they shape identity, motherhood, illness, and recovery.

This is a story of a woman who grew up inside a lineage of overwhelm and unsteadiness, where containment was difficult and resilience was learned the hard way. It follows the journey from childhood into adulthood, through years of unwellness in New Zealand, and into the slow, patient work of healing.

Rather than telling other people’s stories, the autobiography stays close to the author’s own experience: the moments of fracture, the years of fog, the quiet strength that emerges when survival becomes a daily practice. It is a book about learning to mother while unwell, about the grief of not being able to hold everything, and about the courage it takes to soften inherited patterns instead of repeating them.

Genetic Vulnerabilities is not a story of blame. It is a story of recognition — of seeing the threads clearly for the first time, and choosing to weave something gentler for the future. It is an autobiography about truth, compassion, and the quiet beauty of recovery.
