My Book

This journey became the foundation for my autobiography, Genetic Vulnerabilities — that traces the patterns I inherited and the strength I had to build to rise beyond them.

My life didn’t start with clarity. It started with fragments — pieces of memory, pieces of truth, pieces of myself scattered across years of trauma I was too young to understand. For a long time, I lived inside those fragments, surviving a story I couldn’t yet make sense of.

Writing my book forced me to stop avoiding the past and start facing it. Each chapter pulled another memory into focus, bringing me closer to the girl I had been and the woman I was becoming. I didn’t grow up in safety; I grew up surviving. But survival isn’t the whole story. Healing meant taking back what trauma tried to erase — my voice, my identity, my sense of reality.

Recovery has been a steady return to myself. Not dramatic or sudden, but the ongoing decision to stand back up, even when it was hard. I’m not the girl who was hurt. I’m the woman who kept going until strength became something I could feel, not just something I used to get through the day. Facing the truth meant looking at memories I avoided, naming what happened, and rebuilding myself with honesty instead of fear. It meant choosing sobriety, choosing truth, and choosing to believe my own story even when others didn’t.

I’m still healing and still learning, but I’m no longer powerless or silent. I’m no longer lost in the confusion that once controlled me. If you’re here searching for your own truth, you’re not broken for questioning your past, and you’re not weak for wanting answers. Strength grows in the places we thought were ruined. You can reclaim your story. You can rise from anything. I did.
